Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is hoping Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz doesn't score in the Super Bowl and show off the salsa moves he uses to celebrate touchdowns.

Hernandez even jokes that he could do the merengue if he makes it to the end zone for New England on Sunday against New York.

Hernandez has played second fiddle to Patriots All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski but also has had an outstanding season. He said Thursday that he and Gronkowski are close friends and he doesn't care that he doesn't get as much publicity.

Gronkowski missed the Patriots first two practices in Indianapolis with an ankle injury. He said Thursday that he will listen to the advice of the trainer but he'll make the final call on whether to play.
