My dad's a frequent guest on the program because.. well, it's hard to explain.. but suffice it to say, if you've heard him, you understand.

He's about 5'2" with a voice that naturally sounds like he's gargling with glass shards. He's a curmudgeon, but the most adorable one you've ever seen. He's got a heart of gold, and he's been in love with my mom for a couple years (64, to be precise).

You'll often hear him on the air at NJ 101.5 being unintentionally funny because he complains a lot, tells people the only correct way to do things (HIS way), and bemoans the lack of rule-following in today's day and age.

But for all his Seinfeld-esque qualities, you never get to see the softer side of Joe Franco. I thought I'd give you a glimpse into the REAL Joe Franco:

The one who can't move without my mom, who follows her around like a puppy dog, even om her many gambling jaunts to Atlantic City, of which he is not a fan. Here he is, with my mom, Roz, in tow. I know how blessed I am to have them, so I decided to bust out my video camera to save this sweet moment forever.

They're on the boardwalk level of the Tropicana, where the Ice Cream place there is the only part of those trips that he enjoys--besides being with Mom, that is.

They kind of look like they're on a date.. and in a way, they seem like they've been on one since 1953.
