As part of our "Salute to Seniors" feature, we at NJ 101.5 along with our Sponsorship Partner, American Senior Magazine, asked listeners to nominate a very special senior who is giving back to the New Jersey "community" at large — seniors who have gone above and beyond to serve their communities.

As a former actress and a theater fan myself, I always appreciate when someone goes out of their way to create opportunities for community actors to perform and to support the Arts community. But it's so difficult! Money is tight and it's a huge undertaking to begin and run a new theater group. Enter Ginny Brennan, this week's super senior.

In 2001, Ginny founded the Downtown Performing arts Center in Lambertville. On top of that, she teaches classes and offers performing opportunities to those with special needs like Down Syndrome and autism.

Ginny recently realized her dream of supporting local theater by founding the Music Mountain Theater in Lambertville and in doing so Is helping to provide quality affordable entertainment to Hunterdon and Mercer counties and beyond. We salute you, Ginny!

Tell us about your senior below. Submissions will be accepted from Aug. 21 through Nov. 21. Individual seniors will be selected by our staff and featured on-air and online once a week starting Sept. 4.

If your senior is chosen, he or she will be invited to New Jersey 101.5 for an upcoming commercial and invited to a luncheon at the the station.
