You see this all the time. This one is on 206 just north of 601. Rutting season brings about a lot of deer road kill. That I understand. The part I don't understand is the orange paint often left marked on the carcass. We've brought it up on air and callers contradicted each other, offering one theory after another. WHY IS THIS DONE? It drives me a bit crazy not knowing for sure. If you think you know, can you please use the comment section below to explain the orange markings? Or email me? Or write the explanation in orange paint on the side of a dead deer and leave it in front of my house or something?
