NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League, Sammy’s Hope and Animal Rescue 'R' Us to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes.

Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

Adopt Leo

Leo is a very loving and cuddly guy. He deserves a good home with good people to take care of him. Leo is friendly and personable, and loves to greet people.  He's very good with other cats and would be a good companion.

To schedule a visit to meet Leo, please email kitty@easelnj.org or call 609-883-0540. Find more of EASEL’s adoptable cats and kittens here, or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Adopt Heidi

Heidi (Photo courtesy of EASEL)

Heidi is a beautiful and gentle 4-year-old White German Shepherd that came to us as a stray. Heidi does have issues to surmount, but in the right home she can overcome them, and be a perfect companion. Heidi has separation anxiety and will need a special adopter to help her grow out of her fears. She needs an adopter with previous German Shepherd and/or fearful dog experience. Heidi was not well socialized and may have been crated/kenneled most of her life.

Heidi is dog reactive at this time; cats and/or a male dog companion might be ok with training. Family with grown children is preferred. Heidi is an in-house dog only. She's very smart and loving, true to her breed, and is worth that extra mile.

If you're interested in learning more about Heidi or to schedule a visit, please email her foster Frederique at frederique.adamjupillat@verizon.net, or call her at 609-306-6442.  Find more of EASEL’s adoptable dogs, puppies here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Adopt Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg is a 2-year-old Jack Russell/Parson Russell terrier mix that is looking for a home to call his own. He's housebroken, neutered, and up-to-date on shots.  Snoop Dogg gets intimidated by small children and large dogs, so proper socialization will be key.  Once you have gained his trust, Snoop Dogg will be your very best friend!

For more information about adopting Snoop Dogg, email animalrescuerus@aol.com. Find more adoptable dogs from Animal Rescue 'R' Us here or download a copy of theapplication form here.

Adopt Ace

Ace (Photo courtesy of Sammy's Hope)

Ace is an American Staffordshire terrier mix. He was adopted earlier this year, but came back to us this month. Ace is young, dashingly handsome, and smart as a whip!  He walks well on a leash, takes treats politely and knows his basic commands. Ace is a strong, energetic boy who would thrive in a home with humans who can help train him to be the best boy he can be.

If you're interested in meeting Ace or fostering/adopting him, please email us at info@sammyshope.org. You can download a PDF copy of the application form here or you can see more adoptable dogs from Sammy’s Hope here.

Adopt China Girl

China Girl (Photo courtesy of Sammy's Hope)

China Girl is a beautiful, full-figured tuxedo who despite being returned to the shelter when her elderly owner could no longer care for her, is still as sweet as they come. At 6-years-old, she is a card-carrying member of the Shelter's Wise Whiskers Gang, exhibiting all the required traits: she is happiest when she is by the side of someone willing to pet and brush her, especially in a warm, sunny spot. Come meet China Girl and we promise you will fall in love.

If you are interested in meeting China Girl or fostering/adopting her, please email us at cats@sammyshope.org. You can download a PDF copy of the adoption application form here or you can see more adoptable cats from Sammy’s Hope here.
