Rain is expected to across the state and will fall heaviest in the afternoon, according to meteorologist Alan Kasper, who expects 1-2 inches of rain total before ending in the evening.

Thunderstorms could also develop.

A Flash Flood Watch is posted for most of the state, except shore areas, from 8 a.m. into the evening with flooding possible along small rivers and streams and on some roadways.

The rain will not affect the weekend, though, with partly sunny skies and temperatures expected to be in the 70s on both Saturday and Sunday.
