The first round of heavy rain this week was causing traffic and power issues across New Jersey Wednesday morning.

Several highways had lanes blocked by flooding including the White Horse Pike (Route 30) in Egg Harbor City, Route 17 southbound in Lodi, the ramp from Route 3 east to Route 21 south in Clifton and I-287 in Morristown.

Meteorologist Dan Zarrow said  the rain has moved away and Wednesday should just be cloudy with temperatures in the 70s.

A power outage in Toms River has caused some traffic lights along Route 37 to not work. JCP&L's outage map early Wednesday showed more than 6.300 outages in Toms River, Marlboro, and in Springfield in Union County. PSEG 's outage map showed 3,100 outages mostly in South Plainfield and Woodbridge.

Airport delays were minimal at Newark and LaGuardia, with 90 minute delays on arrivals into JFK according.
