New York area rail commuters are having a tough time beating the heat both outside and indoors.

New Jersey Transit
says an air conditioning problem at Penn Station in New York has pushed temperatures in the station into the 90s.

To help commuters, NJ Transit spokesman John Durso Jr. says PATH will cross-honor NJ Transit tickets from 33rd Street to Newark and Hoboken.

The cross-honoring will last from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Meanwhile, all trains in-and-out of New York have 20-30 minute delays due to single tracking in the Hudson River tunnel.
