Cops search for man who raped woman in NJ parking lot — Van caught on video

CAMDEN — Police are searching for a man who allegedly raped a woman Sunday after forcing her into a parking lot of an abandoned building.

According to the Camden County Police Department the suspect, who was identified as a black or Hispanic male, approached the victim in a white van around the 900 block of South 3rd Street.

When police arrived at the location at 6:28 p.m., they spoke to the woman who said the suspect forced her to go with him to the parking lot where he sexually assaulted her then fled the scene.

The victim told police that the man was between 5 feet 3 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall. The woman was taken to Cooper University Hospital for treatment following the alleged assault.
