Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with an attempted burglary and shooting at a Cumberland County trailer park.

Authorities say on June 24 at about 12:20 a.m. NJ state troopers from the Bridgeton Station were called to Tips Trailer Park on East Commerce Street in Fairfield Township, after receiving a report of attempted burglary and shooting.

During the course of an investigation, police learned that two suspects tried to break into a trailer that was occupied by a resident. As the suspects attempted to break into the trailer, the resident began yelling at the suspects through the door. Police say one of the suspects then pulled out a handgun. The man allegedly fired a shot through the door, but authorities say no one was struck by the bullet.

According to police, one suspect is described as a black male, about 18-22 years old. He is believed to be between 5'8" and 5'11" with short hair and a thin build. The other suspect, police sai, was described as a 6-foot-tall black male. At the time of the attempted burglary and shooting, he was seen wearing "bucket hat."

Police say the investigation is ongoing and they're asking anyone with information about the suspects to contact NJ State Police Detective Pasqua at the Bridgeton Station, 856-451-0101.
