MONTGOMERY — A missing 16-year-old girl who went missing in Somerset County was found.

Montgomery Police Captain Tom Wain told New Jersey 101.5 she was found safe.  News 12 New Jersey in a tweet reported she walked into her home.

The search for the girl was focused in Skillman Park, which is located near the Village Elementary School off Main Boulevard, according to NJ.com.

A picture from the search shows a mobile command center from the Somerset County Office of Emergency Management set up in the school's parking lot.

An alert sent just before 5 a.m. by police did not disclose the girl's identity nor include a picture. The girl is described as a white female wearing a green hoodie, black pants and black rain boots.

Montgomery Police asked anyone with information about the girl to call 908-359-3222.
