Many people are tweaking their resume by lying about certain job experiences or positions they might have had. This may not seem like the smartest idea, since we have technology that would make it easy to find out if the facts on someone's resume are correct. But just how harmful is it to change minor details on your resume?

Some may argue that embellishing resumes is unfair to potential candidates that were just as qualified and were completely truthful. Others say that a little tweaking here and there won't hurt, and sometimes they need the extra details to be noticed.

Would you ever lie on a resume?

If you were an employer who found out an employee had embellished their resume, what would you do? Tell us in the comment section below.
