Smartphone sales continue to be through the roof. The war between Apple and Android seems like it will be raging on for a long time. Apple's iPhone continues to lead the smartphone market in terms of sales and popularity but a new innovation by Samsung may change that in the long run.

How many people do you know who have complained about the screen of their pretty new mini-computer that happens to also make phone calls shattered when it fell from two feet off the ground? Between family, friends and co-workers, I can probably name over twenty people who have complained about this to me.

According to The Sun, the Samsung Galaxy S4, due out in the spring will be a solution to the problem.

The design and details are still a closely guarded secret - but tech insiders claim Samsung has developed a hi-tech screen made from plastic "substrate" that will be impossible to break or even scratch.
