"This has been happening for a long time. I''m going to give you my address. I got proof. I got evidence. I'm very afraid. I got a dog. This has been happening so long," a distressed Torres told the dispatcher in a 911 recording obtained by New Jersey 101.5.

"I don't want to get killed. I want to talk to someone before they come up. I want to check myself into a hospital," Torres says.

Torres, 38, was charged in August with shooting Jennifer Beers, 31, around 6 a.m. on Aug. 13 in their South Olden Avenue apartment. A dog was also found dead close to Beer’s body.

Torres was charged with murder, possession of firearms for an unlawful purpose and cruelty to an animal.

As the dispatcher repeatedly asks where he was, Torres says he was armed and asks for assurances he wouldn't be harmed by police.

Torres says he killed Beers in self-defense and he was trying to kill the demons who were laughing at him.

The dispatcher tries for several minutes to get an address from Torres.

"Give me your address and I promise you we'll get the evidence from the demons and all the photos. I just need to know where you are," the dispatcher says before finally getting the address.

According to Torres, the evidence includes video, four SD cards, letters and "demonic texts." He also says that he had sent the evidence to relatives.

As police got closer to the apartment, the dispatcher tries to get Torres to say where he's keeping his gun.

"I have two of them. I have a bulletproof vest also and a helmet. I'm not feeling safe," Torres responds.

Police and a barking dog can be heard entering the apartment, ordering Torres to lie on the ground.
