Hackensack Woman Killed in Delaware Crash

Delaware State Police say a New Jersey woman has died of injuries sustained in a two-car crash in Magnolia.

Police say 75-year-old Margaret Plunkett of Hackensack was driving west on Mulberrie Point Road about 2 p.m. Thursday. Troopers say her car entered the northbound lanes of Bay Road when the vehicle was hit by a car driven by 18-year-old Meaghan Fitts of Wilmington.

Police say Fitts' car hit Plunkett's on the driver's side.

Authorities say Plunkett was taken to Christiana Medical Center, where she died that evening. Fitts was treated and released at another hospital.

The accident is under investigation.
