Guadagno gets invited to Clinton fundraiser
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- New Jersey's Republican lieutenant governor is turning down an invitation to attend a fundraiser for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton.
A spokeswoman for Kim Guadagno said Wednesday that the state's second-in-command received the invitation through an email blast that had been sent to numerous recipients.
The spokeswoman, Joelle Farrell, said Guadagno would not be attending the event.
Guadagno is the state's first lieutenant governor and fills in for Gov. Chris Christie when he's out of state.
She has said that she is considering a run for the Republican nomination to succeed him.
