Governor’s mansion to be lit up for Wear Red Day

TRENTON (AP) — The New Jersey governor's mansion will "glow red" on Friday night to shine a light on the impact of heart disease in women

First Lady Mary Pat Christie says the event at Drumthwacket will help mark "National Wear Red Day," a national event whose goal is to raise awareness about heart disease and how woman are affected by it.

Drumthwacket is one of many buildings nationwide that will be illuminated in red for National Wear Red Day.

Christie noted that New Jersey led the nation last year with 136 illuminated landmarks, buildings and properties on National Wear Read Day. Those sites included NJ PAC in Newark and the Rutgers University Douglas Student Center in New Brunswick.
