Thanks to Gov. Chris Christie and Lt Governor Kim Guadagno heading to Aspen recently, Senate President Steve Sweeney had a chance to be governor for a day. Imagine if you got to be governor of New Jersey just for one day. What would you do?

Personally, I would fly a plane spraying Febreeze over Exit 13 on the NJ Turnpike. I asked my friends on social media for their feedback and  this is what they came up with:

  • Joseph G. De Cristofaro — Make New Jersey great again;
  • Rob Hartsell — Fix transit and reduce taxes;
  • Eddie Quinn— Legalize concealed carry;
  • Rocco Frisoli — Spend the day on a nice, quiet, closed public beach;
  • Steven Feldman — Reopen Olga's Diner;
  • Misty McBride Presseau — Check the child support offices to see how they were enforcing.
  • David Kristjanson — No beach fees or tolls to get there;
  • Paul Ladd — Appoint Steve Trevelise as Commissioner of Comedy and Bill Spadea as my Press Secretary. Then I'd sign stuff and look official the rest of the day.
