The approaching winter storm has forced Gov. Chris Christie to postpone a town hall meeting he had planned for a Monmouth County town.

The 110th town hall was scheduled for Thursday at 11 a.m. in Middletown. It would have been the first town hall Christie has held since questions arose about lane closures near the George Washington Bridge last September.

“Tomorrow does not look like a good day in New Jersey,” said Christie at an event in Toms River Wednesday. “I think what you can anticipate is it might be a day to stay inside. And stay warm. And not worry about traveling around the roads too much. I want people to stay safe.”

The town hall has been rescheduled for Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. at VFW Post 2179 in Port Monmouth. Christie will be joined by members of his cabinet to talk about the administration’s plans for dispersing the secondround of federal Superstorm Sandy relief aid.
