Quick update on the battle for common sense: GOP Assembly leader Jon Bramnick has introduced legislation to support towns in NJ that want to have a blue line painted in between the yellow lines on their streets in front of local police HQs.

Last Friday the Mayor of Clark called to let us know they had received a letter from the Federal DOT explaining that the lines could cause confusion because it was the same color blue reserved for handicap parking spots. Now the voices of reason and common sense are pushing back against this insult to intelligence.

We're waiting to hear back from The offices of Congressmen MacArthur and Smith to see if we can get a simple rule change enacted at the federal level to empower towns to make this simple show of support for their local officers.
