NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League, Sammy’s Hope and Jersey Girls Animal Rescue to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes.

Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

Adopt Oliver

Oliver is a 2-year-old spectacular looking orange tabby who arrived with his identical twin brother Scooter. The only difference is that Oliver seems to be the more outgoing of the two. That is not to say that Oliver has the silliness of a kitten, but play is most definitely on his mind. Oliver is all in for a pet and a cuddle, but show him a feather toy and he sets his sights on the game!  He loves to climb as high as he can go in the play space and “attack” whatever fun toy you show him. Oliver will keep you smiling every minute you spend with him. Oliver and Scooter don’t have to be adopted together, but if your home and heart are up for it, the brothers would love to stay together.

If you are interested in meeting Oliver or fostering/adopting him, please email us at cats@sammyshope.org. You can download a PDF copy of the adoption application form here or you can see more adoptable cats from Sammy’s Hope here.

Adopt Roscoe

Roscoe is a 4-year-old terrier mix in a foster home who needs a calm adult home. It would be best for him to be placed in a home without young children since he gets upset when they get loud. He's a good boy who gets attached to one person and wants to be the center of their attention.  Roscoe's perfect life would be in something like a retirement community where its calm and quiet. He can be territorial and may mark when he feels insecure. Roscoe doesn't bite, but has chased people off his property. He's a lot of big talk, but not a whole lot behind it. He is currently in the process of earning his Canine Good Citizenship Award with Lead The Way Training.

If you're interested in learning more about Roscoe or to schedule a visit, email his foster at rmk22005@gmail.com. Find more of EASEL’s adoptable dogs, puppies here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Our volunteers are amazed at how smart he is! Parker was found as a stray and is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations. Come meet this brilliant boy before someone else snaps him up!
