Glenn Stuart and I used to sit in his driveway after a long day of hanging out when we went to Marlboro High School and talk about our dreams. I wanted to be on the radio and he wanted to be Bruce Springsteen.

We're still best friends to this day, and I took my sons to see him and the B Street band play at Jenkinson's in Point Pleasant this weekend. They're looking forward to playing with him one day.

It's been a long summer for the band — Glenn's "endless summer" especially with Bruce touring. Since Bruce is now playing four-hour shows, does he feel the need to match?

Glenn's "Jersey moment" concerns that friggin' Point Pleasant bridge.

"I always get held up by some dentist or proctologist Popeyeing it in on his boat (when) the bridge is up," he said.

In case those 4 hour Bruce shows aren't enough, The B Street Band will be performing before and after both Bruce Springsteen shows at Citizens Bank Park, Sept. 7 and 9.
