Sean Couturier, Brayden Schenn, Andrew MacDonald, Jakub Voracek and Michael Raffl scored in regulation for the Flyers. Giroux's game-winner came 40 seconds after Dallas' Trevor Daley was penalized for hooking, and it was the Flyers' third power-play goal in the game.

Daley scored twice, Jason Spezza had a goal and three assists, Eric Cole and Jamie Benn also scored and Tyler Seguin had four assists for the Stars. Kari Lehtonen made 30 saves while dropping to 0-11-2 in his career against the Flyers.

The Stars led 4-2 heading to the third period, before MacDonald and Voracek scored to tie it with 5:46 left in regulation. Spezza regained Dallas' lead 40 seconds later, but Raffl tied it again with 3:53 remaining.

Steve Mason started in goal for the Flyers and allowed four goals on 18 shots through two periods before being replaced by Ray Emery to start the third. Emery finished with four saves on the five shots he faced.

The game was tied four times, and the lead changed hands three times.

The Stars had been only 2 for 12 on the power play before scoring on their first two attempts against the Flyers. Daley has three of their four power-play goals.

The Stars got on the scoreboard first as Seguin sent a pass by Spezza in the slot and on to Daley's stick for a power-play goal with 8:28 to go in the first.

The Flyers tied it less than two minutes later when Couturier poked in a loose rebound on MacDonald's shot.

Philadelphia took a 2-1 lead with 4:51 to go in the period when Luke Schenn's shot trickled off Lehtonen's left leg, and brother Brayden Schenn put the puck in the net.

The Stars tied it at 3:46 of the second period, when Cole redirected Shawn Horcoff's pass from the left faceoff circle past Mason.

Daley scored on another power play, in a near instant replay of his first goal, with 1:27 left in the second. Less than a minute later, Spezza dug the puck out of the right corner, and Seguin passed to Benn in front of the net for the 4-2 lead.
