The Giants continue to be active in NFL free agency, agreeing to terms with middle linebacker Jon Beason, according to ESPN, whom they aquired last year in a trade which turned around their defense. The Denver Post reported the Broncos were interested in Beason but they signed former Dallas Cowboy Demarcus Ware instead.

On another Giant front, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the Giants’ deal with linebacker O’Brien Schofield has not gone through. The holdup is reportedly questions about Schofield’s knee raised during his physical with the team. Schofield initially signed was for two years and $8 million.

The Giants are also serious about wanting a top flight corner with General Manager Jerry Reese calling to inquire about possibly trading for Darrelle Revis
