New Jersey's average price for a gallon of regular gasoline actually dropped a penny this week to end at $3.23.  That's in line with the national average, which also dropped a penny to end at $3.27.

The Trenton area reported the highest price at $3.31, while Cape May and Burlington Counties set the low-end price at $3.19.  New Jersey's average price one year ago was $3.55, compared to a national average of $3.56.

AAA expects the price of gas to rise throughout February due to increased demand and scheduled refinery maintenance.
