While I may have lost a bet to my fellow host Steve Trevelise on this past weekend's NY Giants/ Philadelphia Eagles game, we put our rivalry aside and aligned ourselves last night to urge NJ voters to #VoteNoOnTwo.

The majority of NJ residents that have called in to discuss the ballot questions have been confused over the verbiage used in question 2. Normally, you would never see this much discussion over a ballot question. One can argue that it's really the MAIN topic of this election in the Garden state.

After doing the research on the gas tax bill, I found one interesting point that discussed borrowing $12 billion against the projected revenue. Nowhere within ballot question 2, does it say ANYTHING about the borrowing. It is not clearly defined, therefore you need to vote NO. Oh and by the way, that $12 billion that can be borrowed, it's not dedicated, so it won't go to just road and bridge repair.

Congressman Leonard Lance, who joined me on the show yesterday, was the reason that our legislators have to put borrowing up for a vote. The "Lance Amendment" requires voter permission for state borrowing. Even with voter permission needed, Lance said that he thinks ballot question #2 is a bad deal for NJ voters.

Even if you are tired of listening to politicians at this point, Peter Humphries, a financial expert, broke down the figures of ballot question #2. Humphries explains why this is a bad deal for NJ residents and would just plunge the state even further into debt.
