As I mentioned a few weeks ago, we're empowering local candidates by giving them access to the airwaves so our listeners can be informed and confident before they cast their votes on Tuesday, Nov. 7.

On Thursday's show I was joined by a 19-year-old running for the board of education in Hamilton Township, Cameron Cardinale.

A strong candidate for the state senate, Ileana Shirmer is challenging the incumbent who voted for the gas tax. And I spoke to state Sen. Jennifer Beck, who has been a strong advocate for lower taxes and accountability — standing up to Gov. Chris Christie on numerous occasions.

Bill Spadea is on the air weekdays from 6 to 10 a.m., talkin’ Jersey, taking your calls at 1-800-283-1015. Tweet him @NJ1015 or @BillSpadea.
