Attempted murder charges have been filed against three adults and a teenager accused in the brutal beating and stabbing of a southern New Jersey cab driver.

The suspects also face charges of robbery and carjacking stemming from the attack early Monday in Mount Laurel.

Burlington County prosecutors say the 20-year-old driver was cut across the neck during the robbery. He then fled the cab and ran to a nearby home to escape his assailants.

The driver was later flown to a hospital, where he underwent surgery. He was listed in critical condition on Monday night.

Bail was set at $300,000 each for 18-year-old Breanna Pimienta and 21-year-old Miguel Mercado, both of Cherry Hill; 21-year-old Mahadi Robinson of Maple Shade, and a 17-year-old male, whose name was not disclosed.
