The alleged abuser, Steven Geisel, Sr. is due in court tomorrow, Friday March 21st to answer to charges that he beat his pit bull to death behind a local mobile park home inĀ  Egg Harbor Township. The dog named “Bella” was beaten to death on January 28th.

Giesel was reportedly seen beating the dog by an eyewitness who was hunting in the woods at the time.

AS Jim discussed the upcoming case on air, Stuart from Middletown called in to discuss the current animal abuse laws that are on the books. Stuart advised that the court unfortunately has its hands tied in a case like this and can only rule by the current animal abuse laws that are on the books. For a stronger sentence for Geisel or any other animal abuser, higher courts would have to step in.

You can listen to Stuart explain the current animal abuse laws and how they’re would affect this case taking place in Egg Harbor Twp. in the audio player below.
