A 25-count indictment against 43-year-old Christopher Tarver of Jackson Township was handed up Friday.

Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey says Tarver coached at Middlesex County College from 2006 to 2014. He also served as recreation director in Dunellen and North Plainfield.

Tarver is charged with crimes including official misconduct, sexual assault, criminal sexual contact and child endangerment.

Some of the assaults allegedly were committed at the college and the Dunellen Recreation Center in 2010 and 2011. He's also charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old in 1995.

It wasn't known if Tarver had retained an attorney. A message left at a phone listing for him wasn't immediately returned Thursday.
