Federal prosecutors say 58-year-old Robert Mucha of Newton also must register as a sex offender under the sentence imposed Wednesday. He also will have to pay $10,000 in restitution and will be on lifetime supervised release, with restricted access to computers, the Internet and children.

Mucha pleaded guilty last August to receiving child porn and enticing a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity. Prosecutors say Mucha convinced the teen to travel from New Jersey to Stroudsburg, Pa., to spend a day with him and then sleep over.

Mucha eventually admitted to sexual contact with the teen.

At the time of his arrest, Mucha worked as a volunteer emergency medical technician in Andover, Sussex County. He had previously taught band and Bugle Corps to teenagers in Belleville and Lakewood.

During a 2012 court hearing, prosecutors had disclosed excerpts from online chats where Mucha allegedly expressed his sexual fantasies of child cannibalism
