Amy reviews Forbes’ list of most overpaid actors for 2014
The actors named on this list may surprise you. I have to say I was a bit shocked when I saw some of the famous names of Forbes' most overpaid actors of 2014.
It all comes down to dollars and cents. In other words, it's an actor's profitability for Hollywood's studios.
Case in point. Many of the actors on the Forbes list make upwards of 75 million dollars per movie. That figure does not include incentives.
Adam Sandler and Johnny Depp have had their share of box office hits. This past year, though, they've appeared in some clunkers. Sandler's flick, ,"Blended", with Drew Barrymore grossed 46 million bucks. That seems like a lot of money. When you subtract the actor's salaries and production expenses it doesn't leave the movie companies with much profit. In some cases, the entire production takes a loss.
Johnny Depp's starring roles in "The Pirates of the Caribbean" films have raked in almost 4 billion dollars worldwide. On the other hand, Depp's roles in "The Lone Ranger", and "Dark Shadows" were pretty much box office busts.
By now you get the idea.
So here we go with Forbes ten top overpaid actors for 2014.

4. Ryan Reynolds
