Florida Woman Nabbed in Death of NJ Man

A Florida woman wanted in connection with the death of a New Jersey man whose decomposing body was found in the woods in Westchester County has been returned to New York.

The Journal News reports that 24-year-old Jessica Ryan French, of Lehigh Acres, arrived in New York on Wednesday. She has been in custody since Feb. 27, when she was picked up in Florida on a fugitive warrant.

The body of 65-year-old Epifanio Medina, of Passaic, was discovered on June 12 by a horseback rider on Dingle Ridge Road in North Salem. Police at first did not suspect foul play because there were no obvious signs of trauma.

French is expected to appear in Westchester County Court on Thursday or Friday.

Information on her lawyer was not immediately available.
