The Press of Atlantic City reports 32-year-old Michael Castro of Dania is due to make his first court appearance in New Jersey on Thursday. His bail remains at $1.1 million.

Castro is accused of shooting 77-year-old John Kingsbury twice in the head in Kingsbury's Mullica Township home on Feb. 5, 2012. The slaying was the first homicide in the southern New Jersey town in 13 years.

Castro was arrested earlier this month at his Florida home. Besides the felony murder count, he also faces charges of murder and weapons offenses.
