Emmy-award-winning comedian Jim Florentine who hosted the recently cancelled "That Metal Show" joined Steve Trevelise in the studio along with Chris Swendeman who hosts the "Saturday Night Slaughterhouse" on our sister station 105.7 The Hawk to discuss whether or not they think heavy metal is dying.

So I asked Florentine why he think rock is dying and one of the reasons he is says is the lack of rebellion and attitude in the music nowadays. "There's nothing that could be topped. Rock was always to piss the parents off. Kids liked it because the parents hated it.  Everything's been done now," Florentine said.

During another segment, Florentine explains the lack of fans in today's rock music. "The younger generation doesn't care about music,"  Florentine explains.

One of our callers during the hour, DJ from Point Pleasant called in to defend modern rock music and says that not only is rock music alive, it is thriving in New Jersey.

Jim Florentine's next comedy special "I'm Your Savior," will be released on dvd April 1.
