Flights to NY, NJ Marked by Disorderly Passengers
Two New York-area airports have been the site of incidents involving unruly passengers.
Thursday evening, a 46-year-old man was removed from an Icelandair flight when it landed at JFK Airport. A spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says the man appeared intoxicated and unruly and was taken to a hospital, but wasn't facing criminal charges.
Friday afternoon, Port Authority police at Newark Liberty Airport removed a woman from a United flight arriving from Stockholm after reports she was intoxicated and disorderly. Port Authority spokesman Ron Marsico says she was taken to a hospital while police investigated.
Also Friday, an American Eagle pilot was arrested after failing a blood-alcohol breath test as he prepared to fly from Minneapolis-St. Paul to New York's La Guardia Airport.
