No matter how you feel about leaving a child unattended in a car, I think we can all agree that sometimes the reason they’re left in the car matters. There was a New Jersey case where children were left in the car while their parents gambled, for instance. Well, a woman in, where else, Florida, left her six-year-old in the car alone so she could go in a Target to steal . Mom was shoplifting Valentine’s Day items. According to the article on ClickOrlando.com, police were just going to charge her with neglect until they searched her belongings and found the stolen merchandise. The six-year-old was left alone for 45 minutes in the car.
