The injured firefighter was part of a Teaneck company that was helping local departments fight the blaze in Hackensack on Saturday night. He was taken to a hospital, but further details on his
injuries were not disclosed.

The fire broke out around 6:10 p.m. and quickly spread through the home. Dozens of firefighters responded and battled the blaze for more than three hours before it was brought under control.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation Sunday morning. Most of the home was destroyed.
