An early morning 3-alarm fire caused heavy damage at a warehouse in Fairfield early Sunday morning.

ABC 7 reports it took all night to put out the fire but firefighters remained at the scene after dawn on Sunday.

Flames shot high into the air as firefighters from several surrounding towns responded and drew water from the Passaic River according to West Essex Now, which reported  a gas leak was also investigated during the course of the fire.

In video taken of the fire, multiple explosions were heard coming from the Bloomfield Avenue warehouse which, according to West Essex Now,  is home to Pio Costa Enterprises and several other businesses including an auto parts company where motor oils were being stored.
