Fire captain arrested in online child-sex sting
STRATFORD (AP) — Prosecutors say a New Jersey volunteer fire captain went online to arrange sex with a woman and her underage daughter.
Jesse Kopala was arrested Wednesday in Mount Laurel when he went to a pre-arranged location to meet them.
Police say the 39-year-old Stratford man had actually been communicating with a Burlington County computer crimes detective.
He's charged with criminal attempt sexual assault and criminal attempt endangering the welfare of children.
Kopala is jailed in lieu of $75,000 bail. Information on his lawyer wasn't immediately available.
