Members of the groups stared each other down before Baraka supporter Tyrone Barnes pushed Muhammad to the ground after grabbing him around the neck, leading t othe fights, the report said.

Baraka in a statement criticized the leadership of both groups and said that Ismial lives in Elizabeth, and he should "bring to light the issue of violence in their town, by doing so in their town."  He said it was "disheartening" that Muhammad, a former city employee, "instigated" the fight. Baraka said the incident was under investigation and that the rally was held without a permit.
