FORT LEE — A police-involved shooting is under investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

Jaquan A. Suber, 29, was shot outside of his home at 485 Summit Ave. in Fort Lee on Sunday morning after pointing a weapon at police, according to a statement from Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal. He was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.

Several Fort Lee officers were also hospitalized for evaluation.

Grewal did not disclose the circumstances of the shooting, which he said remained under investigation.

NorthJersey.com reported that residents said several homes were evacuated by a SWAT team.

Suber is charged with possession of a firearm for unlawful purpose, possession of a handgun without obtaining a permit and pointing a firearm Under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference
