Following the playbook used after Hurricane Katrina, the Federal Emergency Management Agency ships scores of mobile homes into New Jersey for families whose homes have been wiped out by Superstorm Sandy.

40 units --all one- and two-bedroom-- are lined up in a staging area at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson. Townsquare's Ilya Hemlin took a tour and came away impressed with the amenities and the quality of construction.

Ten three-bedroom mobile homes are also headed to the state.

Still to be clearly defined are who will live in the available units, where they'd be placed, and how many more units at Fort Monmouth will be open beyond the 45 or so currently ready. Governor Christie indicates that there may be room for upwards of 350 families on the base.
