The agency is opening regional centers in Jersey City and Manahawkin on Monday.

Its centers in in Cape May, Harvey Cedars, Jersey City, Linden, Paterson, Plainfield, Stafford and Woodbridge are slated to close Saturday.

Staff members at the centers are available to explain letters sent by the agency, help displaced people find temporary homes and check on the status of applications for assistance. Small Business Administration officials are also to be on hand to help people apply for low-interest loans.

Residents who need help do not have to go to a center in their home counties.
