A Country Ball upon the 283rd Anniversary of Washington's Birthday. Eighteenth century dancing will be featured in the Steuben House between 1:30 pm & 4 pm under Denise Piccino's direction with Ridley & Anne Enslow providing musical accompaniment on fiddle and hammered dulcimer. Throughout the afternoon, Rodger Yaden will portray General George Washington. Hot cider and crullers will be served in the restored 18th-century tavern in the Campbell-Christie House, where the gift shop is also located. Visitors may also see open-hearth cooking demonstrated in the Out-Kitchen. A tiger-stripe maple bedstead that family tradition noted was used in a local home where George Washington stayed during the 1780 Steenrapie Encampment, currently on display.

Tommy Campbell grew up outside of Philadelphia steeped in a musical environment permeated by the notes of his father, an organist and singer, and his uncle, Jimmy Smith, the renowned Hammond B-3 virtuoso. Campbell attended the Berklee College of Music, the international center for education in professional music renowned for its acclaimed jazz faculty, where he majored in instrumental performance (1979) and received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1998.

The Concert Band is the United States Navy's premier wind ensemble, featuring 56 performers on a range of instruments such as flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, trumpet, horn, euphonium, trombone, tuba, string bass, harp and percussion. The repertoire for this special concert includes marches, symphonic selections, patriotic work, and popular favorites. Tickets are free but advanced tickets are required. There is a limit of 6 tickets per person. Tickets must be reserved in advance.

This distinguished ensemble from the historic port city of Gdańsk on the coast of the Baltic Sea performs a splendid evening of Beethoven favorites under the baton of celebrated Polish conductor Boguslaw Dawidow.
