Fatal Accident Reported in Vineland

A Millville motorist is dead after his pickup truck drove off Delsea Drive in Vineland and into a small lake late Thursday night.

Vineland Police say a Ford F350 pickup truck, traveling south, was driven by Nicholas P. Sumner, 33, of Millville and wound up in a lake at Arbor Avenue.

Sumner’s passenger, Kyle Kaspar, 27, of Vineland, was rescued from the truck and flown to Cooper University Hospital, police said. Sumner was rescued from the lake but succumbed to his injuries.

New Jersey Fast Traffic reports that Delsea Drive (Route 47)  was  closed all night for a police investigation.
