Fan Leaving Devils Game Killed by Car
Newark police say an 18-year-old New York man was struck and killed by a car as he left a New Jersey Devils hockey game.
Thomas Argenti of Pearl River was struck around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in the area of the Prudential Center, the arena in downtown Newark where the Devils play their home games. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
No charges have been filed against the 28-year-old who was driving the vehicle that struck Argenti. Police say the driver stopped and remained at the scene.
