‘Falling Apart at the Seams’ by The Marmalade: Doyle’s ‘Not-So-Top-10′ List
The Marmalade was a Scottish band that is primarily known as a “one-hit wonder”, and, well, they pretty much are.
Their signature song, “Reflections of My Life” is an oldies radio staple and it peaked at #10 in 1970. However, they did have one other top 50 hit that sounds almost nothing like their other hit. Maybe that’s why I was attracted to it, because you would never guess it was the same band.
“Falling Apart At The Seams” peaked at #49, six years after “Reflections”, and I think it it still a pretty catchy tune, but Big Joe snubbed me again.
