Ex-firefighter charged with leaving child for sex

A former firefighter has been charged with leaving his 5-year-old child alone in a playground for an hour while he had sex in his car.

NJ.com reports Charles Pipitone, 47, of Ridgefield Park, was charged with child endangerment and lewdness for the incident on Monday.

Pipitone is accused of leaving him in the park located next to the Leonia fire station after being noticed by a passer-by.

Two Leonia police officers went to the park and took the 5 -year-old into custody according to the Daily Voice.

Pepoitone posted $2,500 bail on Wednesday and has an October 6 court date.
