A former Wall Township police officer is accused of hitting a man with his car during a fight Friday morning, NJ.com reports.

It cites the Morris County Prosecutor's Office saying a 51-year-old pedestrian was leaning into the ex-officer's SUV when the ex-officer stepped on the gas, causing the pedestrian to fall off the vehicle. And then, as the SUV accelerated, the pedestrian was run over, the prosecutor's office reportedly said.

The pedestrian was listed in local condition at a local hospital, according to the report. Neither man involved was named and no charges have yet been filed.
